Terms & Condition

1. Introduction and Acceptance
Welcome to Houston Phone Doctors (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our repair services, website (houstonphonedoctors.com), and any interactions with our physical location at 10497 Town & Country Way #700, Houston, TX 77024. By dropping off your device, authorizing a repair, contacting us for service, or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use our services.

2. Services Offered
Houston Phone Doctors provides repair, diagnostics, data recovery, and related technical services for electronic devices including, but not limited to: smartphones, tablets, laptops, computers, gaming consoles, and other personal electronics (“Device”).

3. Diagnostic Fees

  • A non-refundable diagnostic fee may be applied to determine the cause of your Device’s issue. This fee covers our technicians’ time and expertise.

  • If you approve the repair, this diagnostic fee is typically waived or applied toward the total repair cost.

  • If you decline the repair, the diagnostic fee is due upon pickup of your Device.

4. Repair Authorization & Estimates

  • All repair estimates are subject to change upon further internal inspection. We will contact you for approval before proceeding if the final cost differs from the initial estimate.

  • Authorization for repair can be given in person, over the phone, or via email/SMS. A verbal or digital “yes” constitutes a binding agreement to pay for the completed repair.

  • By authorizing repair, you represent that you are the legal owner or authorized agent of the Device.

5. Parts & Quality

  • We use a combination of high-quality new, refurbished, original, and aftermarket parts. The type and source of parts used will be communicated to you during the estimate and noted on your invoice.

  • Replaced parts become the property of Houston Phone Doctors unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • We do not use counterfeit components. “Refurbished” parts are functional parts restored to working condition, which may have minor cosmetic blemishes not affecting performance.

6. Limited Warranty

  • Houston Phone Doctors provides a 90-day warranty on all repairs performed, covering defects in workmanship and the installed parts for the specific repair completed.

  • This warranty is void immediately if: (a) the Device suffers further physical or liquid damage after repair; (b) the Device is opened, modified, or repaired by a third party not authorized by us; (c) the serial number, IMEI, or other identifying marks are altered or removed.

  • The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original customer and Device.

  • This is a repair warranty and does not extend to unrelated issues, software, or pre-existing conditions. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DATA LOSS. Always back up your Device before service.

7. Liability & “Liquidated Damages” Clause

  • YOUR DEVICE IS VALUABLE. WHILE WE EXERCISE UTMOST CARE, ELECTRONIC REPAIR CARRIES INHERENT RISKS. In the rare event of loss, damage, or non-repairable condition caused by our negligence:

  • You agree that our total liability shall be limited to the fair market repair value of the Device or $300, whichever is less.

  • We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, including but not limited to: loss of data, loss of use, loss of profits, or emotional distress.

  • You agree this is a reasonable limitation given the nature and cost of the service.

8. Data Privacy & Security

  • We recommend you back up all data and remove any passwords, passcodes, screen locks (Find My iPhone, Google FRP), and SIM/memory cards before service.

  • We are not responsible for data loss, data corruption, or privacy breaches that occur during the repair process. Performing a factory reset or part replacement may result in total data loss.

  • We will not access your personal data except as necessary to perform diagnostic or repair services.

9. Abandoned Property

  • Devices left unclaimed for more than 30 days after we notify you of repair completion will be considered abandoned.

  • We reserve the right to charge a storage fee and/or dispose of or sell the abandoned Device to recover unpaid costs, in accordance with Texas abandoned property laws. You release us from all liability upon abandonment.

10. Payment & Pickup

  • Payment is due in full upon completion of the repair, before the Device is returned. We accept [List Payment Methods, e.g., Cash, Credit/Debit Cards, etc.].

  • A valid government-issued photo ID is required for pickup.

  • Unpaid Devices may be held as a lien until payment is received.

11. Website Use

  • The content on houstonphonedoctors.com (text, logos, graphics) is our intellectual property and may not be used without permission.

  • We are not responsible for content on any third-party sites linked from our website.

12. Governing Law & Disputes

  • These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas and the United States.

  • Any dispute arising from these Terms or our services shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas.

13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. The most current version will be posted at our location and on our website.
